Stanford Health Care - Wayfinding Master Plan

Client: Stanford Health Care

Stanford Health Care provides leading medical services in the Bay Area. A survey of all 4 levels of the hospital was conducted to replace their existing signage. The result is a new wayfinding system that allows patients to easily navigate to their destinations using intuitive department addresses. A graphics guideline was additionally created for a seamless handoff between the client and fabricator for future needs.

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Stanford

With the new hospital expansion opening in 2017, the existing building signage is rejuvenated with updated graphics that align with the aesthetics of the new building. Wayfinding was developed to be similar, but unique to the needs of the occupied hospital. A revised map brochure was also created to help welcome and familiarize visitors into the rebranded space. 

 

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Stanford - Donor Wall

The donor and history wall was designed in anticipation of the expansion of the new hospital and thank those who have contributed to the ongoing efforts. Management included coordination with the client to ensure that all historic facts and donor names are accurately represented, preparing full size artwork for pixel-perfect wallcoverings and panels, and communicating with the fabricator for a seamless installation.

Bing Concert Hall

Bing Concert Hall is Stanford University’s newest destination for performance art. A sign system was created to work in concert with the unparalleled architecture and enhance the unique and intimate experience of the space. 

 

UC Davis Shields Library Building Directory

Client: University of California, Davis
Role: Designer, Student Work

With over 3.1 million volumes, the Peter J. Shields Library at University of California, Davis spans over five floors. A successful map directory wayfinding redesign is not only highly necessary, but also essential for easy navigation and safety.
